Visit the Center of the Catholic World
This is an opportunity that few people have had – a very special series of after-dark openings of the Vatican Museums. Entrance is only available by advance booking and using our pre-reserved, no-line entrance you get to visit the museum after the normal closing hours. The Sistine Chapel in the intimacy of the evening, accompanied by an expert English-speaking guide is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
On this tour you will visit the Room of the Animals, the Hall of Muses with its famous Torso, the Greek Cross Room, the Gallery of Candelabra and the Gallery of Tapestries. Then, through the Hall of Geographical Maps you will reach the magnificent Raphael’s Rooms. Here you will stay a little while to fully appreciate the masterpieces of the greatest painter of the Renaissance including the Parnassus and the School of Athens.
You will walk to the Borgia Apartments via a narrow passageway and on from there is the breathtaking Sistine Chapel with its magnificent frescoes by Michelangelo, Botticelli and Ghirlandaio. The tour then continues to the Sistine Library, which houses a superb collection of Christian artworks, relics and other interesting artefacts that are not to be missed.

"We visited the Vatican with Maria after the standard closing times. It was fabolous to see the church light up at night and mostly silence in a very touristy place. The tour was well-paced and very informative. Would recommend!"
